help please
just bought & installed the top fuel turbo timer (yeah, i'm only using it for the turbo timer and the shyt looks gangster) however i'm having problems and hope someone can assist me.
im still extreemely inexperienced, so please bear with me in this rather uneducated description here.
it appears (from what i can tell) that there's something connected improperly to the ebrake. when i start the car w/ the e brake on & then turn it off *(without moving a single inch)* the turbo timer works perfectly. however, when i start the car & take off down the street / freeway / whatever, then park, engaging the ebrake, i take the key out & the engine revs from the approx 1000 rpm @ idle up to about 2,500-2,750 rpm (as if i stepped on the gas quickly) then it "chokes" and shuts down. all the electrical shyt in the car (dash lights, cd player, etc) still works, as if the car was still idling down, although it isn't... once the timer runs out everything turns off.
it does this every time...
also, say if i stop the car, leave the e brake disengaged & then turn the car off & take out the key, the turbo timer realizes that the e break isn't engaged & it just shuts the car down. (i guess there's more than one way to install it, this is the way w/o the ebrake bypass or something)
the only thing i can possibly think of is that the damn thing just isn't hooked up properly despite "following the directions," if anyone has experienced anything of he sort *(or is at least knows what i'm talking about & how to remedy it)* please help, it sucks to have wasted the money on something that doesn't even work.
