No it won't fit unless you buy a pair of 9006 HID bulbs for the EVO IX housing. I would just send your 8 headlights to evodave to do a blackout mod if you like the EVO IX black chrome housing.

actually i have to replace the driver side headlight cause the dealer told me the controller for the HID is broken so i had to either let them fix is for $750 or buy a new pair of headlights for cheaper.

You can transfer the D2S projectors from the 8 headlights onto the 9 headlights. You'll have to open up all four headlights to get it done. If you don't want to mess with that, then just get an HID kit to go with the 9 headlights.

just stick with HID housings for HIDS, non-HID for non and you won't run into any issues swapping VIII and IX housings.

Do you mean the HID ballast? I have a ballast from my VIII headlight to sell if you're interested.
