Revised JIC EXHaust Install (RMR and Perrin as well..)
I just installed the JIC stainless steel exhaust and boy it does purr at idle! I still have the resonator on, but I'll probably take it off this weekend.
Anyway, my question is this...
Those 2 metal wires or "strings" that came with the exhaust - WHERE DO THEY GO? I know they're supposed to tighten something, BUT WHAT?!

hey.. I got your IM. At first I thought they might be for grounding purposes. Then I thought they could be for securing the SS clamp connections - however, I doubt they would hold if the bolt came loose.
So I'm gonna go with a ground.. Normally you see the ground around the cat bolts before the rear 02.

Could someone bring back these photos... I look everywhere and cant find a
"real" photo of JIC catback...
I like to make sure that it's a TRUE 3.15" inch with no taper down ANYWHERE...
Also want to see if thats a straightest possible exhaust..
Thanks,

Thanks,
it has a taper on the flange that mates to the cat, & inside the resonator, didnt have a tape-measure on me, but it looks like 2.5 to 2.75 if my memory serves me.

Here's what I did to fix it, cost $50 at a local exhaust shop:

After: (no, that is not a tin can)
