remove silver ring from steering wheel?

Anyone know how to remove the silver ring around the center horn button?

you try a heat gun or hair dryer? I'm not sure, if it's not bolted it's probably glued on.

It has 3 clips 120 degrees apart that hold it on,do NOT use a heat gun.BTW,take air bag out 1st and it makes it alot easier to come out.Be careful not to break any of the 3 clips that hold it on,as soon as you get one to release the ring can pretty much come out without depressing the other 2

is there a "how to" on removing the air bag? Where are the 3 clips located at...I would guess you have to take out the air bag to access it?

yeah sorry bout the heat gun. probably not a good idea with the airbag there!

Location of retaining clips is 2 o'clock 6 o'clock and 10 o'clock positions.
If you pop off the access cover on back side of steering wheel just below where you have your ARROW you will be able to see the 6 o'clock position clip with a flashlight and mirror.Hope this helps. BTW,be careful as the clips are actually part of the ring and are also made of plastic.
