You're running 11:1 with that map? 91 octane must suck worse than I thought. Do you have a boost controller? I'm running upwards of 17-18% lean in about the same area you're running 11-14%. With that map I get .92 to .94 o2 voltage readings. Of course the stock o2 doesn't have nearly the resolution it needs to be very accurate, but IMO, .92 to .94 is safely rich. I get between 20 and 22 degrees of timing at WOT as well.

Mods are Buschur air filter, and the e-manage. I'll try and post my file here, but USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! Just because it works in my car doesn't mean it will work in yours. I also would assume that adding a boost controller will change things drastically.

af - 18% timing +4%

Disclaimer: THIS MAP HAS NOT BEEN TUNED ON A DYNO OR WITH A WBO2!

992gnt,

No, unfortunately I don't have a boost controller. I need to get one to flatten out that dip in boost. On the dyno, when I set it for -12% -- -13%, I was getting real close to 13:1 I did play with the ignition on my last 2 runs and advanced 2 degrees. I got 2 totally different results. As far as you know, the EVO ECU is not self learning right?

I see that you also did some part throttle A/F adjustments too. I didn't adjust any of those since I thought that the car would be open loop mode and the sensors would be doing the work to keep stoich. I was also afraid of part throttle high EGT readings if I adjusted A/F from 50% - 90% throttle.

Can you tune the ignition in more finer increments?

Yeah, I need to update the page for the ignition harness install. Hopefully soon, I've been very busy lately.

Where did you find out that there is a new ignition harness? I'd like to read about it.

Actually, you really don't need to buy the ignition harness. You can use the unused wires from the main harness for the ignition signal. The ignition harness uses the main harness's connector.

I realised this after. But people say they are having problem with the ignition where they burn coils. The main problem starts when the car is left on the ON postion but the motor isnt on. Coils burn and people start to worry. This is said to beleive to resolve that issue.
