I am trying to install my CF trunk on the evo, but having hard time to remove the key compartment / the lock that enable us to open the trunk from outside.

Can someone post me pictures or tips of how to remove it?

for other peoples future reference:

there is a metal u clip on the inside of the lock, and the actual mechanism is held on by a plastic tabby thing that connects to a metal rod and that easily pops out.

 

Yes. You have to pushed it a lil bit to remove it from the lock thingi.
