I recently purchased an Autometer boost gauge and had a question about the wiring of the light. I do not feel comfortable splicing into a line in the dimmer switch to get power as suggested in another thread. However I remember that the fuse block is just beneath that, and I can remove a fuse, run a power line to it and replace the fuse so the wire is securely in place and then I would have power. The question is, which fuse do I run the wire to? The Cig lighter fuse would be my best guess but I need help. Any suggestions EvoM gurus?

 

i wired into my dimmer and its fine...but if u go into the cig fuse it will be lit up the whole time u have ur ignition on as is the cig lighter only works with the key on so take it from there dimmer switch is ur best bet.
