How ot launch Big turbo, big cammed car

Deatils of car in sig.

The biggest problem is the clutch On.Off no slipping is allowed...

I've done up to 6500rpm launch and it'd bog and go..

It's the exedy twin disc hd clutch that killing me..

Any suggestions?

An Exedy Twin does engage quickly and it is "on/off" compared to the stock clutch, but there is room for a bit of slippage and you need to find it and use it. 6500 2 step shouldn't bog especially on street tires which I'm assuming you are running.

Well they are more of a road course tire, as in the big sticky flat patches on the outside and regular tread on the inside...

At 6500 it doesn't spin...Would it be better off with radials and spinning a bit?

Exedy twin disk is easy to launch..for me anyway. It engages quick so you just have to slip it a little slower til it engages then let loose w/o dumpin it. I'm pretty sure radials and spinnin a little bit is better for 60ft, better 60ft=better time.

The Exedy Twin Disk did require me to slip the clutch a bit more than my previous clutches. I have a very steep driveway and it took some practice to get it "right". At the dragstrip it took me a couple of tries to get down my launches. Now it's just second nature for me.

lots of boost and rpm. or you can do a small spray of nitrous with lower rpm and boost

the purpose of having a twin disk is to slip it alot!

if you dont slip the clutch you will bog every time..

the twin disk is made to handle massive amout of slipping!!

I launch at 7000rpm with some slip and the 2-step gets me 15psi with some tuning.

4x BFG drag radials at 15psi

not that good, I don't know if it's the track prep or what but I have to use a bunch of clutch to keep it from boiling the tires through first gear so it's usually 1.7x and if I used a low rpm it'll want to bog.

in the long run I'm considering doing a small brake kit and 15" rims so I can go to a taller tire.

not really sure about your setup or the original posts setup but for me 7k launching is very bad....

i run bfg kdw 2 tires in 245/40/17.... on my older setup ''smaller turbo ,cams, few other things'' i would launch at 5800rpm. my 60s was 1.7s. ''best was 1.65'' not good but not to bad. i have the exedy as well. running 11.2 at 126mph on pump.

now that im on a bigger setup i left my 2 step alone and from my practice launches i feel im actually doing better... so if it is the case then i would lower your 2 step alot..... i never launch over 6k as i end up with reall bad tire spin and my 60s are in the 1.9s... i also admit. i do need more driver seat time but im just saying what im experiencing
