Turboback installation opinion

Welp, I'm waiting on my turboback system and i've been pondering a few things. I don't have a lift at home, so would it be wise to have it professionally installed? I don't know of any shops around here that would install it. I mean, i'm sure I could probably do it, but without a lift it seems kinda pointless.. even with jack stands.

Did you guys do it yourselfs? If you brought it somewhere, where'd you bring it and how much did you pay?

Thanks all

Well, just so you know.. Its actually pretty easy to install, and a good shop can do it in about an hour..

Figure most shops charge by the hour, it'll cost you about $50-$100 for the install..

If you do it yourself, you'll probably spend all afternoon working on it, but as long as you have jackstands and a decent set of tools it won't be difficult..

Now, all you have to do is figure out how much your time is worth.. If then afternoon to yourself doing something else is worth more than the the money spent to have in installed.. Then by all means have it done.. If you love to do this stuff, then you just can't beat the satisfaction that a DIY project brings..

Ambiguous enough for ya??

hehe.. I have some jack stands but i'm always paranoid about the damn car falling on me ... also I have tons of tools to work with . what size bolts are they?

I'll probably have all day to install it. I was just worried about leaks and stuff. Does the stock exhaust system come off easy?

plus, will I have enough room with just jack stands?

do it yourself if you have the stands and tools, I did mine and it took me about 3-4 hours and everything works perfect. I did go buy some high heat silicone and I laced all the bolts with it so they would stay snug. I also put it on the top of the downpipe so it wouldn't leak. Just go slow , make sure you have a long ratchet extension and you should be good to go. Also spray some lub on the stock Cat bolts before you attempt to take them off, they are on tight. If you can't get them off you can drop the entire pipe off and then dissasemble after you slide it out from underneeth the car.
