Not sure that I would go that far. My plan is to keep all the a/c parts in the event that I later decide to sell the car. I could simply put the system back together.

How do you get the two lines out that are up against the firewall? Do you have to do it from inside the car?

If the setup is similar to my S2000, there is a plastic bracket which holds the lines against the firewall. Simply remove the bracket, and pull the lines from the lines going into the car. There should be some sort of sleeving connecting the lines.

Do you need to keep the condenser push fan in place if you remove the A/C condenser? Just wondering if you can lose that bit of weight, or whether it's necessary for cooling.

Thanks.

I pulled mine and it's not necessary. No overheating, the only fan I run is a slimline on the intake side of the radiator.

I'm going to do a A/C system delete since my condenser is trashed and I never use it. I am wondering if I need to do anything with a shop to drain the system. It hasn't worked for a year (hasn't blown cold) and when I push in on either schrader valve (high or low pressure), nothing comes out. There appears to be no pressure in the system. That means that I can just break it apart and at most oil will come out, right?

Thanks.

I,m a hvac owner for residential and commercial and i know if you depress one of the shraders and nothing comes out you have a leak somewhere which is very common with cars from all the moving parts, road vibration, etc etc..

So just remove it and you should be fine except for a little oil at the lowest lines.

Does anyone have a routing diagram for the new(smaller) belt? Is there any special way to put the new belt on?
Thanks

I know the part number for the belt. I'm just wondering about a routing diagram for the belt.

Just wondering, how much does all the A/C stuff weight? If anyone has taken theirs off and doesn't mind, put it on a scale and post the weight. I am thinking about pulling my system out, if so, I'll post pictures of every step. ;-)
