Having trouble with glove box

I can't seem to get the left "stopper" to clear. Any suggestions/help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

It pops out. I think it's towards the inside. Just put pressure on it and it should come loose. Then just pull in on the right side and it will clear.

Unless I have that backwards. But regardless one side pops out and the other can be flexed to clear the opening. If you can't get it to clear after that then you aren't pulling hard enough on it

Yes, the left stopper pops out of the glove box, I forget in which direction. The right is attached and you just flex the glove box a bit to get it out.

I never replaced the left stopper, just threw it in the glove box. The right stopper holds it fine.

So the left stopper pops out "into" the glove box? I'm a brute and don't want to break the stopper

Bah - I was going to post a couple pics, but thy must still be on my roomate's camera. My Evo is still in the shop or I'd snap a couple.

1) The "post" on the left side of the glovebox will pop loose and slide towards the passenger seat along the left edge of the glovebox. After it moves about 3/4" it can be slipped through a hole and will land inside the glovebox.

2) Tilt the glovebox down towards the passenger seat until the right side glovebox post hits. You can squeeze the right of the glovebox in slightly to move the post past the dashboard.

3) Now just swing the glovebox down until the hinges will let it slide free of the dash.
