I am just put on my Greddy type s blow off valve tonight and I tried putting it on before but I had problems with my idle and the car shutting off on me with it on. Tonight it seems ok so far but the blow off valve sounds kinda like a vooosh with a whistle at the end at full boost but at low boost it kinda flutters. I am not sure if this is good or bad. The screw is about a quarter of the way out from the top, should I just have the screw mostly out all the way. Any advice would be greatly appreciated also any pics of your type s on your evo would be great.

The low or partial boost fluuter is normal for the greddy. The optimal setting is usually showing about 5 threads above the nut.

 

open up the valve and take out the smaller spring, it will blow off at low boost pressures without the stutter. and also hold upon peak boost levels.
