Evo IX SE FRONT LIP INSTALL

Hey guys im swapping the standard lip on my evo 9 for the SE version. I have been told that there is two side brackets I would need. My question is, is there any other way to install the lip without the brackets or are the brackets a must have to get the lip on there???

i installed my se lip fine. i did it a couple weeks ago and i had no problem without any brackets. there is about 1-1.5 inch gap from the lip to the underpanel. so i just took some zip ties to make sure it is not dragging hope that helps

If you want to run an under tray, you will need 3 different pieces to get it connected. If you are not using an under tray, then you just bolt it up.

If you are NOT using an under panel, you'll be fine without the 3 black ABS panels. If you ARE running an under panel, wether it's OEM, or Aftermarket, it's a smart idea to buy the 3 'SE' Lip panels because with that gap, you are creating unwanted turbulence. You want your undercarriage to be as 'free-flow' and aerodynamic as possible. Plus, now your under panel is just hanging lower (with, or without zip-ties), etc. and there's a good chance when going over a speed bump, or a driveway curb you're going to hit the under panel.

I also went from a standard IX lip to an 'SE' Lip.

For anyone else looking for the Airdam reinforcement pieces.

Their are 2 identically mirrored pieces on each side, those PN's are:
(I don't know which is left/right, sorry)
6512A151
6512A152

Then there is one piece on the passenger side that "completes" the lip
