Question Whats the best way to lift an evo

I have rhino ramps at home and I'm almost ready to change out the tranny fluids, but I need to somehow figure out how to raise the rear of the car to make it level with the front of the car as its on the rhino ramps. Suggestions?

jack and jack stands... jack it up, place one stand near each tire.. or buy 2 more ramps and jack it up and rest it on the ramps..

Thanks, anyone know if it is really necessary to have the car level when filling the tranny fluids?

Also, I don't follow the factory jacking points since I am using a different car jack(1 ton...i think) I learned my lesson when I followed the manual directions the first time. If you are not using the jack that comes with the car, it will bend the rail where the jacking point is located(at least in my experience). I had to bend it back with pliers and adjustable wrench. . I looked under the car to see better jacking points. I finally found a solid metal frame near the middle of the vehicle. From then on, I use that as my jacking point. As far as I know, it is not damaging anything. Just something to think about...

There is a jacking point under the front crossmember and use the rear differential to jack the rear up.

Yep, those work well. The rear diff can be a bit of a stretch for smaller floor jacks, especially if the car is lowered. The jacking points listed in the manual work well too provided you use something to straddle the rail to prevent from bending it. I use a block of solid maple with a slot cut into it. The slot keeps the rail from bending.

... you can use the pinchweld as shown in the manual with a regular hydrolic lift. Just use a block of wood to ditribute the weight along the weld. i lift my car like this every time and my welds are still straight and stock. Think my wood is 12" long... seems to do the trick.

Hahahahaha, I'm sure it does!

Sorry, had to . As far as Rhino ramps go, I'm pretty sure it says on the instructions that you should not use 4 of them to lift the car. I'm sure it will probably be OK but if it drops on your head then you won't be able to sue them . As has already been said, use the 2 jacking points at the front & rear. There are some jack stands that have little bits of frubber on them with a V cut in it so you can place those at the 4 'normal' jacking points to keep it lifted. You might even be able to buy the rubber things for your current jack stands.
