ams vsr intake manifold
searched but no luck, trying to install the ams intake manifold but have run into a couple of problems. i am also installing an AEM ecu and am not sure what sensors i can eliminate (emissions etc) since there are no vacuum lines on the tb, it appears i may be able to get rid of a couple, but the vent for the fuel tank i am not sure what to do with - do i just route it back into the manifold?
also, the alternator bracket - it is supposed to bolt on the back of the manifold flange, but if i do the alt with not be in the right spot and i can't bolt it to the side of the head. do i need to hack it up or is there supposed to be another bracket with the mani? |
I would like to know also

i do remember having the same problem on another evo i helped my buddy with. i think all we had to do is cut the "tacked" nut off the back of the alternator bracket and slot it enough to line up.
i didn't hang around long enough for the vaccum line install, but i would definately make provisions for the brake booster, boost reference, bov, and map sensor. the other lines i wouldn't be concerned with when using an aem. i don't know if this helps any but i'll get with my buddy and i'll post back up for you!{thumbup} |
Doesn't AMS send any instuctions with this manifold? If this is the 1000$ manifold, how much could 2 sheets of instructions/pictures possible cost? I guess this is secret too, just like actual results.
