How to fit skis and boards in an Evo

Take off the seat backing cardboard carpet thingy. Cut out the metal bar on top of the armrest hole. Cut out the fabric covering the armrest hole. Done. See picture below. You do have to take off one of the bindings to get a snowboard in but it's really not a big deal.

So yes it's true that for all the money I have spent modifying my Evo I could have bought a Corvette. But try getting two pairs of skis, two snowboards, 2 sets of polls, 4 sets of boots, 4 bags and four adults in to a Corvette for a weekend ski trip. And let me add that even with all that stuff in the car there was still plenty of 4 wheel drive horsepower, braking, and handling to be had. It's been a rocky relationship at times but I love my Evo

I did it differently.

I slide part of the snowboard under front seats, put a towel on the back seat rest the board on top of it. The I buckle the seat belts to prevent the board moving side to side.

I just shove the boots, bar-be-que grill and other stuff in the trunk.

I fit 3 snowboards and 3 people in my car for a weekend at Big Bear this way.

This looks like a great idea! I actually didn't realize the rear seats don't fold down until AFTER I bought my Evo lol.

Clever, I considered doing that, but no way was a surf board was going to fit, so roof racks it was.

Nice! I just do what someone above mentioned. I wedge my GF's board under the seat and it props up nicely, but my board is too long to do it with, ive got a 156 I believe, so I have to lay it vertical across the back seat. My window tint has taken a beating... . Im just going to invest in a board bag. I can pick one up for 30 bucks from the local Sports Authority.

Oh yea I do wipe the board clean before it goes back in the car
