Sirius Satellite Radio Install ?'s

Ok, to start im not much of a stereo guy. I drive an 03 Evo GSR, with a stock head unit. For xmas my fiance got me a sirius satellite radio. Im not sure exactly which model at the moment, but upon opening the box, I see that you have options of fm modulation, or a lil tape deck thing (wtf who has a tape deck), or an av jack which my radio doesnt have. Also, power seems supplied by a cigarette lighter plug. So my questions are what are my other options. I dunno if I was just mistaken, but I kinda thought that the sirius tuner would plug into the back of the radio or something. I really dont like the idea of the sketchiness of an fm modulator. Also, is there any other way to wire the power? I have searched for posts on what other people have done and all I have come up with is 1001 ways to route an antenna. I am willing to just pay to have it installed, but if all they are gonna do is plug it into the cig. lighter and tune it to some radio station, I dont wanna waste my time. Some input would be appreciated. Thanks alot.

With the stock radio, you unfortunately don't have many options when it comes to Satellite radio. The only way you'll be able to hook it up is through FM modulation and the power through the cigarette lighter.

Best way to get good Satellite sound in your Evo is to replace the head unit with a $150-$200 Alpine/Pioneer unit and buy the corresponding Sirius satellite module that works with those head units.

You might as well try the Sirius with the stock radio and see if it works for you. If not, you'll have to go with something like I mentioned.

Good luck.

If you do a direct wire in ANY good stock unit will work perfect.
Mine does
I actually didn't even fool with it. I gave it to Best buy for $60 and it works great
