I guess it doesn't affect the 9. I checked my wiring and everything is bone dry even after a heavy downpour.

well Im sure it has something to do with wetness and corrosion, as its been wet / snowy here for the past week or so, and she gets driven on a daily basis. Ripping it apart to fix or whatever in 10 degree weather doesnt sound too appealing to me at this point in my life lol. What would buying a new motor assembly do for me? It's obviously working....lol

BTW. I have found how to fix this, but as stated, its not something that Im not really down for doing at this point...Just looking for which fuse to pull - that information I canNOT find ANYWHERE

if you take a look at the big harness on the drivers side kick panel, really take a look and take apart the pins you will probably see some green build-up. Thats your problem. You have to bypass the white connector and sauder/shrink wrap each connection. I've done it on several Evo's, especially 8's.

Sorry if this was already posted, just thought I would try to help

I do appreciate the help...

Well today en route to the glorious Bengals / Jets game, the wipers stayed off - for a while. I dealt with them running for the drive down, then driving down the highway the horn decided to let everyone know we were coming by blaring constantly without shutting off. I pulled over and pulled the fuse and it stopped, went inside to get something to eat and when I came out the thing wouldnt start. Im having the thing towed in the AM, guess I'm being forced to actually fix it tomorrow....

What a day...

Thanks again for the replies gents

haha, what I did originally when having this problem was that I left the fuse puller on the windshield wiper fuse. So that when the wipers decided to behave, I could use them to my disgression, but when they acted up while I was driving, I could easily locate the fuse, pull it, and continue on my way.
