If you're running two blocks to the store, then why are you in your car?

^lol,

That was the first thing I did. Just reach under the seat and unplug that harness. I am not a bright one but I dont wear my seat belt all the time and that began to annoy me. My last car I worked on the inside so much I even unplugged the door sensor so the beeping from the key in the ignition would stop lol...

Does the SRS light come on when you unplug the harness?

When the belt is unlatched the sensor makes connection causing the light and chime. When you remove the connector you just simulate the belt always being latched because the 2 wires for the sensor have no continuity. It will not cause any problems, however it is very dangerous to drive without a seatbelt, even 2 blocks to the store. You never know how many drunk drivers are around you.

If you are worried about the airbags not inflating, shouldnt you also worry about having a seatbelt?

just realize this fact, most accidents happen all within miles of your house. so my advice is where your seatbelt. People tend to drive crazy on familiar roads. That means another person can hit you!!
