Radiator Problem
Radiator Problem
Ok guys heres the deal , Im putting my new gt3076 turbo setup into my evo and I just bought a slim line fan and I went to put my radiator in and it does not want to go in all the way. Do u guys have any reasons why this would be Thanks
3076 install
I installed my 3076R and had the same problem but I did not take out the radiator. I have a DME tubular manifold 3076R turbo with a .70 A/R and the 4 bolt downpipe (which sucks) external tail wastegate. The turbo will hit the radiator. Reinstall your radiator. What I did was put the turbo in first then the manifold then the wastegate. do not tighten the bolts at this time. Put them in loosely. Take a piece of rubber (like the factory rubber boost hose). I also had extra rubber from my hard pipe install. See if anybody has an extra hose laying around. Cut a 2x2inch square put it between the radiator and the intake side of the turbo (which would be the only thing touching the radiator). It will put a little presure on the radiator but it will be fine. I did mine 2 months ago and it is fin and good working order. Or you could just go and buy a CBRD racing radiator. But I did not have the $500 for the radiator after spending $2000 on the set up. As my stock turbo was shot and having everything apart I had to continue with the install. Hope this helps.
