How to modify plastic undertray for easy jacking
This modification will allow you to jack up your Evo from the front by the tow hook very easily. The tow hook is one of the recommended jacking points in the Evo factory service manual.
As you can see in the pictures I drilled a slot in the plastic using a step drill bit (unibit) so that your jack pad can contact the tow hook and so you can see it.... then I made a 'flap' using a sharp utility knife, that allows the jack pad to get up to the tow hook.
***Please be careful when using a utility knife to cut the flap, make lots of passes with medium pressure. Keep you other hand and body parts far away from the path of the knife! Thanks.
