AEM Wideband troubleshoot

AEM gets power fine (spliced in aftermarket radio). When I plug in the bosch sensor it heats up and starts a high pitched whine.

Also the bosch sensor gets hot, is it supposed to?
Whats your advice on the whine? Do I have a electrical problem?

Thanks

Shortened the ground and found a better one. No more noise!
