Vortex Generator HELP

Thinking of trying to fit a Vortex Generator on my Evo IV.Thing is they areway to expensive for the ones made for the IV but the ones made for the VIII and IX are much cheaper. I was thinking of tryin to use one on my IV. I can not find the dimensions anywhere online. If someone could measure the length and width and post it for me that would help me out a ton. thanks

Rich

one love

Theres no difference between the 8 and 9 roofs/vortex generator. Well thats not completely true; MRs, and RS,s came with aluminum roofs but the meaurements are the exact same.

Just get a VG from Speed Elemet. There $65 shipped with a short antenna.

Here is a top view with several dimensions. You'll have to excuse the slight inn-accuracies, I didn't have time to scan it and put it into any of my CAD programs, then draw over it to get a firm detailing of it.
You may note the edges are cut off on this one that go under the gutter trim (those are about 1 inch long each, I was experimenting with a two piece design), but what you see is what shows when you install it on the roof. The radius of the Arc appears to be 106.75in. (271.145cm) , but I think the dimensions show should suffice for some simple measurements.

Roberti22 sorry it took me so long, completely slipped my mind.

38 1/4" from gutter to gutter

40 1/4" over all, which includes the two tabs that sit down in the gutter.

i just ordered a second vg for my car (trying a different color) it should be here in a week or so. if youd like me to make an actual cardboard pattern of it and mail it to you it would be no problem. that way you can check the radious etc.
just shoot me a pm if your interested.

good luck with your devour

steve

*** edit: just noticed the post above, guess you dont need a pattern
