Well, here it is...If you put LEDs in for your reverse lights on an EVO X with a SST transmission, forget it! The LEDs will backfeed the computer in the transmission causing the reverse lights to go off after 15 seconds. Oh well...

 

you probably need the load resistors, same concept as for the blinkers. Just LEDs will make them flash like there is a burned light bulb

 

Funny you mentioned that. I replaced all of the lighting on the car with LEDs. The load resistors for the turn signals have been mounted to some beefy brackets (along with some heatsink compound) located in the rear wheel wells. This provides a path for all of the heat the resistors generate. My concern is that the area in the trunk lid is so small, that the heat generated by the resistors will burn the trunk lid lining. Great idea though.
