Exclamation Need immediate help, drained fluid out of my car and dont know how to get it in

Like the title says I need some immediate assistance if possible. I was attempting to do an oil change on my 03 Evo and believe I drained the WRONG FLUID. The drain plug I opened up is under the drivers side of the car and the top of the bolt was marked OIL. Only a 'small' ammount of fluid came out, id say 1 qt or under. It was clear with a greenish? tint to it.

I then realized the actual oil drain plug is located right next to the filter with the wire attached to it.

I begfan looking for a place to refill the fluid that came out. I took my battery out and the undertray and see several bolts. One being rather large with a sensor on it, another smaller one next to it. We dipped a napkin in it and it smells the same as the fluid that came out. I believe it might be the transfer case.

AGAIN THE FLUID I DRAINED FROM THE CAR WAS FROM THE DRAIN PLUG MARKED OIL ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE CAR, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT OR HOW TO GO ABOUT REFILLING IT, I NEED MY CAR FOR WORK SO I CANNOT DELAY.

If someone is more experienced with this than I am PLEASE either post some help up, I am working on the car right now and need this solved right now!

So look up further on the part you drained oil from and you will likely see a large round plug.. open it a put the fluid you drained out in there...hate to say it but , Dude you need to have someone else do work on your car if you made this kind of mistake--better yet get them to show you around your car to avoid these issues.. and buy a flame suit.

Transfer case fluid.

.69qts to be exact.

Put screw back and hope you got some friends with extra diaqueen. If not go to a dealership. I only use and trust Mitsu Diaqueen.

FYI: Oil pan is on passenger side and is all black. You may want to have a mechanic do your oil changes in the future.

That is the transfer case fluid and you took out the fill plug so you should be ok.

If you drained that fluid, the way you fill it is to get a cheap pump and tube from Autozone/Kragen and pump daiqueen into the fill hole (side of the TC) until it begins to drip out, then plug it back up.

But like others said, if this is a bit too much for you, you should probably take it to someone who knows what they're doing

Thank you to those who tried to help me, what I drained was the transmission fluid from the fill hole, NOT THE TRANSFER CASE. I DO infact have a bit a knowledge on working on cars, the thing that completely threw me off and made me put this thread up is the fact that a bolt was stamped OIL and was clearly NOT the engine oil, rather the trans fluid. Guess I shoulda figured that the oil pan was by the filter, but again I saw a bolt that read oil and went for it. Not until after I realized that there was another bolt under the car marked oil for the transfer case. Guess I know for next time tho! Thanks again

Now that you know where all the fluids go, you might as well change them all at this time. There are How Tos for all that here so just do a search before draining anything. Also, I found it better to loosen/removed the fill hole plug first before removing the drain hole plug just in case you can't get the fill plug off right away. Then you would stranded if this is your only car. Don't ask me how I know. It also helps the fluid flow out better but I think you already know that.
