Oh. Crap.

I randomly browsed to this thread. Mine are also backwards. Which might explain why my car is having some serious trouble starting and idling. I'll find out shortly.

I just got a set of iridium yesterday and installed them without gaping them, My car started just fine.

A lesson learned, nearly every Dual Cam motor I have ever worked on with a waste spark ignition was 1/4 and 2/3.

lmao i dont understand why you didnt just check the coil packs first before making a thread. Pull the coil packs as a PAIR next time or hell take a picture of them b4 you take them apart..

i put a new set in recently and they came pre gapped around .020-.021.. which is fine.

I run mine at .022 or .023

I always take a few pictures before I take things apart unless I have prior experience with the task on hand. I can't tell you how many times this simple rule of snapping a few pictures before starting on working on something (and sometimes during the process ... if it is a lenghtly process) has saved my rear end!

All in all, I'm glad it was a painless and easy fix. Cheers.

My oem replacements were pre gapped around .026. I thought this was fine for a evo IX?
