Car will not start unless I give it gas........

Whats up guys? Need some help.

Ok so I was riding my Evo 8 the other day perfectly fine. No issues. Then all of a sudden i come to a red light and have to stop. Car turns off out of no where. I turn it over and notice it doesnt want to until I give it gas. It keeps doing this all the way until I get to my job. I had to keep holding the gas for it remain on. I finally get to my job and car just turns off as soon as I let go of gas. Tried turning back on but requires me to give it gas and when it does turn on it is very sluggish.

I have tried running a series of different checks but nothing seems to work. I have checked ignition system (coil, plugs, and wires). Nothing. I check fuel and that seems to be working. Ran a boost leak test and nothing. I am not getting a check engine light signal either.

Please HELP!!!!

Here is a list of my mods:

20g Turbo
Greddy 660 Injectors
HKS 264 and 272 cams
Walbro 255 fuel pump
HKS RS intake
Greddy type s BOV
Greddy Type S Front mount.
Weisco Pistons
Eagle rods

i had a similar problem with my 03 evo 8. it also came out of nowhere. it was running fine and like yours. it just turned off. however i wouldn't need to maintain my foot on the gas... my rpms would go really low. i took it to the mechanic and he just adjusted the the intake manifold to rise the rpms a little higher..but he said that it might be the engine...and with my good luck that i have...a couple of months later my engine f*** up.. don't want to scare you cause it might not be the same thing..
just go get it checked ASAP

i'm thinking this too. my srt-4 did this exact same thing. if it gets stuck closed your engine wont get air when the throttle body is closed so you have to keep the throttle cracked open

Look on your Intake Manifold... in small screw-size hole (On top) there's a Cross-head (Phillips) screw that adjust up and down... you want to adjust it up so turn the screw (Counter-clockwise) and it'll open up you idle-throttle.

The same thing happened to mine and i thought it was a fuel problem. but i took it to a shop in atlanta and they showed me the problem. It is scary, but that's how you fix it... it's ALOT easier with 2 people (one to start up the car and another to hold the car running by pulling on the throttle cable in the bay) adjust slightly

I hope this helps!
