Evolution 8 vacume line disaster..help please
So i have a 2003 evo 8, not my fisrt one, i just traded this one for my rex, the kid that had this thing was a dumbass, anyway i drew up what mine looks like right now, it has a knock off type s recirc valve, running 22psi, its fluttering or compression surging, ive searched and searched here and other fourms, i cant seem to get it down, im not sure whats missing, or what needs to be done. please help me out to figure this out. I want to get it back to stock. or fix this mess, i dont think its supposed to flutter, iver tried loosing the bolt on the recir to release the spring, but still flutters through the intake cone!!! heres what this mess looks like!!
from what i can see thats right. the generic type s knock off is always going to flutter no matter what boost u put to it. my friend had one on his s10 turbo with 22psi, still flutters. he switched to a tial and problem solved.
i think the spring in the knock off is WAY to stiff. try switching to an evo9 bov.
but im going to tell u, dont hear what other people say, if ur barely on the throttle, it doesnt matter if u have a stock 9 bov or not its going to flutter. even the stupid plastic stock 8 bov flutters at 3k rpm on a bone stock evo.
even the great synapse synchronic flutters. search on youtube, thats all flutter on low boost.
in the forsale section theres like a ton of evo9 bov/dv on sale. 70 bucks is the lowest price i've seen.

i can get all stock pipes and boost solinoid, but its not just on low boost or gas, its all the time, i just dont wanna mess the turbo up, ill take it out tonight and see how stiff the spring it, i heard or seen that you can take the two little springs on the side?
