Quick help with INTAKE

Ok, so I am having issues getting this filter to fit without rubbing. This is the problem. I have messed with the piping and tried to get it moved, but there is not much room at all. Anyone know what I can do?

****, Only reason I care is because I got a new filter, but I got a hydro shield to go over it, since I have a CF hood with vents directly over the intake, and I didn't want to rub a hole in a $20 cover
