How to remove fog light cap from JDM headlights?

Hey guys, I just picked up a brand new set of jdm 8 MR headlights. When I went to install the 9006 fog bulbs, I noticed that there's a cap in it. The headlamp is designed to accept a bulb, however, it doesnt slide all the way through.

Has anyone seen/done this before? There has to be some simple way of doing this, maybe I'm just overcomplicating this. Thanks for any feedback!

If it is metal you should be able to stick small needle nose pliers through and bend it until it is small enough to break off and pull out. That would look like crap though.

Best bet is to stick her in the oven on to loosen the sealant holding the lens on. I believe 250F or less works. Pop the lens off and remove the fog light cover from the front. This way you can trim down anything unsightly and clean up any foreign materials. Seal it up with quality clear silicone.

Thanks for the reply! I appreciate it. It actually turns out that that is another difference between usdm & jdm, the jdm fogs maintains the caps. I was able to successfully install the nokya bulbs.
