nice vid. i made the same thing for my car. i'm surprised you needed a flathead to get enough force to pop off the driver side clip.

if anybody doesn't feel like making them, there's a shop in California that sells a kit for the evo 7-9

I bought the toxicfab one, my drivers side seems to pull my bumper in a few MM from the flush-ness of the front fender - tried adjusting it a bit, but doesnt bother me enough to super fine tune it. Other than that I love the kit, I do use the top 2 bolts right by the radiator. but it gives me so much more space to work on my car.

I just want to re-bump this thread to inform the community NOT to buy from kinetix. I only bought from them based on the posts above.

this has been a horrible ordeal, paid over a month ago, kinetix will not receive any calls or return emails, i have tried on numerous occasions and after demon suggested i open a dispute they contacted me saying they havent shipped. then a week later they said that the supplier was short and it was back ordered. and now they say that theres no money in their account to refund. i have escalated to a paypal claim.

lesson learned here: to save from a headache. Dont buy from kinetix, horrible customer service, disconnects phone and does not respond to emails. runs out of money and cant refund. just buy from toxic fab.
