How To Install Perrin Shorty Antenna Mast
Hey everyone, this write up is brought to you from the techs over at RallySport Direct. This took us a very long time so we hope you all appreciate it.
First we start with the Stock antenna situation; the stock antenna is very bulky and can give you right off the bat the "Radio Controlled Car Look".
Next we have the removal of the stock antenna. Be careful as not to take it off the way that is in the picture, damage might occur. Be nice and unscrew the stock antenna off. "Rightsie tightsie, leftie loosie" (Ben didn't want his face plastered over the net, so we had to blur him out, sorry ladies)
Next, take the Perrin antenna and screw it into the place where the stock antenna was removed from. We put a dab of locktite on the antenna to keep thief’s little grubby hands off of them. It did the trick without sacrificing any signal strength.
As you can see here is a picture after the Perrin antenna is installed, definitely allot better looking then the stocker.
Now what to do with the stock antenna .. . .. . . .
It seems Ben has found a new use for it. Although we don't recommend it.
He seems to think that it worked well, but we are not so sure.
The Perrin antenna is available for purchase for $29.99 at any authorized Perrin dealer. http://www.rallysportdirect.com/shop...roducts_id/523
Other than that, it's a very straight forward install. We just had a few minutes to kill, and thought it might make a few peeps laugh.
