WARNING WARNING WARNING! Danger Will Robinson! I bought the APR front splitter and it is a well fabricated piece with great fitment, however there is a weak point here that I have yet to see mentioned. If you look closely at your stock front facia you will see that the lower lip of the front end is actually a seperate piece. This is what the APR splitter fastens to and unfortunately it is held on to the main bumper with screws into plastic clips. My splitter and lower facia seperated from my car at just under a hundred mph. Good news is this proves they actually add significant downforce. Bad news is I ran it over (although it survived in good enough condition to re-install). If you buy this part install spacers with stainless bolts to firmly connect the front end together (See my cars pics https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...1&page=6&pp=15 .). Doesn't look bad at all but VERY necessary if you plan on driving at speed. By the way, the lower facia part is just under $300 prepainted at my Mitsu dealership if you feel the need to ignore my advice. I destroyed my first one grinding on asphalt and I'm buying another.

Can the APR Splitter be used universally? or is it only meant to stick w/the oem bumper?

I was hoping to use it on a aftermarket front bumper for my evo.
