i did look in the how-to section but the thread I saw with front lip install didnt actually tell you how to remove the front lip. my main question was about what is holding on the stock front lip. ill have to look at more of the threads.

The edges are too square.

I had the Varis lip on my VIII - it's been a while

But I think they're either held on by fasteners or screws - nothing out of the ordinary And you'll use those OE screws to install the new lip.

In defense of this splitter, I always thought the Varis lip stuck out too far as well; however, once installed and a set of canards were installed - It looked MEAN Something a pic can't capture - seeing the whole effect on the entire car.

So this lip on a lowered car with nasty wheels and some other CF stuff probably is awesome in person.

MEANwhile this lip NOT on that same lowered IX with nasty wheels and no other carbon stuff would no doubt be cleaner looking. But as far as better looking, not sure if thats gonna happen. It may look equally as good but why would we spend money to look equally as good as a stock car? Anyways, to each his own.

Didn't mean to upset you

Just a note - A splitter is for a function not curb appeal
