APR Rear Diffuser - EVO VIII/IX - $475 shipped
Hey Ed, what is used to to fasten this diffuser? Is it easy to remove after initially installing it?
Also, why so much for just fiberglass? Was there alot of R&D put in? Is there going to be a urethane version? I'm just not a fan of fiberglass and I'm sure if the carbon one is going to be dry then I may have to cut off a leg and an arm.

As far as pricing, don't ask me, APR sets all of that.. we just go off of what they give us. You're probably right about the carbon one lol, they haven't even released pricing yet for carbon. :X
We're very anxious right now, it should be about that time they start releasing the fiberglass ones.. the fiberglass ones will also have a nice black glossy finish to it, so don't feel you're just getting an unfinished expensive piece of figerglass.
Let me know if you guys got any questions. Thanks!

hey ed, I would like to pick one up when this is avalible. I am a returning customer and locally. give me a buzz when you get it in. look at your old pm to get the number. thanks
Not to be a party pooper but that APR one doesnt block off the the under car airflow still allowing for the parachute effect and drag except the air is now trapped by the diffuser. Also is the only rear mounting boltd through the fiberglass structure? Im worried about that one little flange at 150 MPH! The Vishnu one completely routes air on the underside of the diffuser and out the rear of the car. It blocks off all holes and doesnt trap any air. Has anyone tested this at speed yet? Its a beautiful piece though

We're still expecting these in August sometime. I really apologize for those who have prepaid months in advance.
As far as the design.. you would need to speak to APR about that.. they would be the ones who would have any hard numbers. The piece is a VERY sturdy piece.. I don't think that "flange" would break off @ 150MPH.. I don't even know many if any tracks that have straights that long to get up to 150MPH. I'm sure APR knows what they're doing...

I am really interested in stopping the rear lift at speed. This seems, in my estimation, the whole reason for a rear diffuser. If this product does not achieve its aim it is absolutely worthless except to a ricer.
APR needs to chime in and make the consumer confident that this part is not all show and no go.

yeah i was going to take deposits on these but talking with apr months ago i was told it wouldn't be till august in the first place so i didn't want peoples $$ sitting ...great product and price but R+D and production takes time to have products as nice as this.
It would be nice if they would just extend the peice to cover the inner exhaust cutout on the bumper, so it would act as a exhaust fume sheild as well. I am sure it will be just a matter of time before someone mates up a carbon exhaust sheild and one of these for a perfect finish. As it sits, it looks like a nice piece. The only negatives, from an asthetic stand point would be what I have listed above. Over all for $475USD this is going to sell like hot cakes! Nice work.
