Would these require cutting of the original fender? or does it go right over it? I have a rust hole in my rear fender so instead of fixing it i would just like to cut it out and place these over fenders on it.

 

In order for the Over fenders to be functional, the original fender must be cut.

Reason for overfender is for what you are doing, or because most race cars utilize a larger wheel & tire setup which will stick out past the original fender.
The over fenders are usually wider then stock fenders allowing the use of wider wheels and tires.

After the stock fenders are cut, the "overfenders" will be installed over the cut part.
