i am interested in purchasing this peice, an awnser would be greatly appriciated

I purchased this tube from vivid... I absolutely love this piece. Its not going to add a real noticable performance gain but it looks great, yes it does work with the stock airbox no problem, fits perfectly with the battery as well unlike some of the other ic pipes, and it took about 15 minutes to install. I can provide some tips if you need them.

What isnt mentioned here is that the boost tube comes with the lower IC elbows as well. I purchased the Automotosports lower IC pipe at the same time. When both of them were installed together i felt more of a gain then my entire turboback exhaust.. most likely do to the much quicker spool up from the lower IC pipe. If you buy the two of them together.. the only piece of the IC piping that is not replaced is the small tube running from the upper ic piping to the BOV. Another member has his evo catch on fire.. but his tube was still in great condition. That speaks highly of how tough the silicon is.

The only downside I can think of is that where the tube meets the throttle body I had to use the stock clamps.. I ended up blowing the damn tube off at 5am in the morning on the worst morning california had seen all year. I had to use two clamp just to make sure that thing would never blow again.. but it would have been nice to get a much more sturd t clamp for use there. I will
