your comparing evo performance cost and a battery tray...

Performance??? I never said anything about perfrmance. As everyone knows, every EVO owner seems to be the most **** person as far as fitment goes, as well as looks. I can guarantee you 8 out of every 10 people will not buy something due to its fitment issues. Right??? All the questions seem to be are, will it fit, how does it fit, blah blah blah. All I am saying is, you get what you pay for. If someone is willing to make a battery kit and catch can together, more power to them. There are other things that are way over priced for the EVO, and I wont even get into that. But for something that will fit, and work well with our lower and upper intercooler pipe, how can you go wrong?

I'm in for a tray only...if it will fit the PC680MJ. That's what I already have.

Looks great! Nice work

Is that $150 shipped?

Anyone have a pic of the AMS kit? I took a look at BR one and that one is $225 but I dont think theyre is anything too speical about it. This Nisei one looks nicer.

Granted that doesn't include the battery ($70) but it serves 2 purposes and is powder-coated to match the fuse boxes. IMO you guys could sell a ton of these if you drop your price to $150 shipped including the battery. Just my .02
Is yours made in a CAD program and CNCed though?

For those that are curious why the price is so high (which we actually priced it to compete with other vendors). We never intended to make any money off the battery kit, as it was required to make the future intercooler pipe kit to fit. However, with the demand we saw of people that wanted a high quality battery kit, we decided to release the kit as a stanalone item for purchase...we didn't change the price though. Our 'competitive' price is barely above what it costs to make these things.

Nisei Engineering's goal is to provide the highest quality parts to the evo community with no fitment issues, production issues while being "bang for the buck". Production of the tray alone is expensive. Nisei Engineering designs all their products using state of the art methods like CAD (even for a simple battery tray) and extreme testing. The tray is made by CNC using Billet Aluminum. This eliminates any production or fitment issues since each unit is made to exact dimensions with microsopic or no variation at all. That way you can be confident that you'll get a perfect product each time; and with Nisei's strict QC, beleive me you will.

Keep in mind that the price of our kit includes the battery at $225. For the price i'm confident to say that this is the best battery kit out there. Wait til you see the finished product. We've made minor changes to make it look even better.

In addition, for those asking about the oil catch can. We actually have been considering the production of our own catch can that will mount either on to the battery tray itself or somewhere else in the engine bay. That will be in the future though.

As always, your input is greatly appreciated as it help us know what you, the end-user, want. We will be posting a few pictures this week of different types of black that we are testing for the battery tray.. We will allow you to vote on it so you can have a say in this product too.

For those interested in knowing about the battery, it is an Enersys GP16 battery. This is the exact same battery as the Hawker Odyssey PC680. Enersys recently purchased Hawker but still private labels Odyssey batteries (As you can see on the enersys website http://www.enersys.com/ ). Any more info on their battery can be found on the website along with a downloadable brochure about it.

I'm not sure honestly. If your battery sits identical to the Evo, then possibly.
