The Fidanza is Aluminum with a replacable steel friction plate, total weight 9.5 lb.

The Prostreet is 100% chromoly, which can be resurfaced if needed, with a total weight of 10.45 lb.

Both units offer similar to stock engagement and friction properties while eliminating a few pounds of rotational mass, making them excellent for street or track use.

If you dont plan on burning up your clutch disc and flywheel surface by launching on a regular basis, then the real issue is cost.

Replacing the stock flywheel is not required, it is however a good idea to check for abuse (hotspots) on the surface and have the OEM flywheel resurfaced if necessary.

If the OEM flywheel has been subjected to extreme heat from the clutch slipping and not holding power, chances are you have developed a few hotspots. If the flywheel surface is not new/reconditioned, you cant expect the new clutch to last long trying to grip a damaged surface.
