Thumbs up Perrin Electronic Boost Control Solenoid $69.99 Shipped!!

New from Perrin Performance!!

The PERRIN™ EBCS replaces the factory, bleed type, boost control solenoid offering an extremely fast reaction time for accurate boost control.

The EBCS is a huge benefit for consumers with aftermarket ECU's that use the factory solenoid for boost control. EcuTek, Hydra, UTEC, Motec, AEM, Haltech, Unichip (custom programming needs to be done for the EBCS).

Add the EBCS to any aftermarket ECU to provide full electronic boost control without the need to purchase a separate AVC-R or similar external boost controller.

The actuator is operated by a direct acting single solenoid. No boost pressure is pressing on the actuator, therefore no premature boost loss can occur. The EBCS allows a much lower waste gate duty cycle to produce higher boost levels giving tuners more headroom when modifying high horsepower vehicles.

A built in, non locking, manual override allows tuners to physically test the boost controller. The EBCS will work as a replacement solenoid for all popular Electronic boost controllers.

Designed to handle up to 120psi, the EBCS features aluminum and glass reinforce nylon construction including 425degree (temp) fittings and vacuum hoses for high heat resistance.

Running the special for 69.99 shipped normal price is 79$

Thanks for the support guys

Chris,
I have an "older" Blitz Dual Solenoid EBC (silver box w/ mode & volume dials) but no solenoid, will this solenoid work or do i need to get a different one? SP Engineering (which Blitz NA refered me to) wants $225 + shipping for the replacement solenoid! i want to use this model, but at that cost i'll go a different route. any ideas/suggestions? Thanks! Shawn.

yes it should work. Works with profecb's and other electronic boost controllers.

You just need to hook it up bleed type vs interupt type if your running stock ecu. If your running utec or any other aftermarket engine management you can use the interupt style. It can be plumbed either way.

Can this solenoid be used to replace the factory solenoid, with the factory ECU?

Is this thing based on a servo controller, or a open/close type solenoid? if its the latter, what makes it superior to the GM solenoid?

Also, does it have the current limiting resistor already built in, so it doesnt get hot when used with the default bleed setup (at idle the car enables the solenoid (100% duty) with the factory ECU and most piggybacks by default)

Will this solve the Greddy Type S boost controller problem with it not going over 21psi on the high setting.
