Warning Alarms and Triggers

Too high EGT, RPM (just like a shift light), too much boost, TPS, too lean or too rich AFR now can be indicated by audio and visual alarms via the ZAVT-1 Box. Moreover, the ZAVT-1 can trigger a relay when alarm occurs, which can be wired to cut boost and or nitrous and safeguard your motor in the case of high EGT, meth injection failure, high egt, lean condition and so on.
This is the best safeguard on the market and it is paired with the best wideband tuning tool on the market already. WIN!

Zeitronix is where it's at. 74 samples per second per parameter is one of the highest if not THE highest capture rates of any wideband on the market.

Difference from many of the displays is that the ZEITRONIX has a higher display refresh rate and plotting sample rate than many.

ZEITRONIX is not just a wideband. It is a hardcore tuning tool that logs RPM, LAMBDA, AFR, RPM, BOOST (with medical grade AEM boost sensor), EGT (exhaust gas temperature) which is critical in alky and meth injection systems. It also has an INPUT1 for logging 0-5v such as knock sensor voltage.

Newest feature is the Z-Audio Visual Warning siren and LED with SAFEGUARD trigger. The alarm and LED can be set to ALERT you of MAX EGT Exceeded, OVERBOOST, too LEAN or RICH. It can also act as a shiftlight and set to any programmed RPM such as 7500rpms or so.

The TRIGGER part of the Z-AVT is programmable so that if you set it to say 900*C-EGT for example, the alarm will sound, the LED will go off and 12v will be sent through the trigger wire which can be hooked up to a solenoid and cut boost to wastegate pressure 11-13psi, preserving your motor.

This works especially well in AlkyInjection systems where there is most certainly something that can potentially go wrong including user error. If you run out of alky, get a clog, blow a fuse, tune insufficiently, these all lead to high EGT's. With the EGT trigger set on the zeitronix software, once it reaches your programmmed threshold, it will trigger the 12v and set off your safeguard whether it be a solenoid or an AEM or MAFTPro map switching signal.

This is GREAT STUFF! Most bulletproof safeguard available.

Are the 280 Comp cams compatable with stock valve train? How do you like them compared to the HKS?

Sorry Scott I was a little confused with the last PM, do those prices include the ZAVT, and one last final price for the Display, Boost sensor, O2 sensor, and ZAVT. Also how involved is the install for this piece?

Everything should have been itemized. If I left of the ZAVT price, it is $65.

Pretty easy to install. Blue wire from Zeitronix to ZAVT, red to 12v, black to GND, and OPTIONAL white goes to your safeguard relay or solenoid system.

 

How/what is used to mount the display in the pics, just some double sided tape? I will be ordering the Zeitronix, ZAVT, and boost sensor from you later today.

That is one choice. Home Depot has an industrial grade 2 sided 3m tape that holds up to the FL heat here.

Personally I use 3m hook and loop velcro so I can rip it and put it in the glove box for security purposes.
