Crower Cams -- Proven 39whp!

Thanks to our customer Scott for the video footage and dyno charts.

Crower 272s on an AMS stage 3 car (reflashed) WITHOUT adjustable cam gears.
http://videos.camaroz28.com/video/a8...2e00adba55.htm

Proven, nasty power gains at an AWESOME price.

Before 330 WHP after - 369.5 WHP!

There were not torque readings due to some equipment problems. Another good install by the guys at Turbo Trix.

So anybody want a set of the magic bumpsticks? PM for pricing on 264, 264/272, and 272 sets.

One's a HP & Torque chart w/ AFR and the other is a HP/speed chart.

Sorry to butt in, but I do notice that the test conditions for the base run was 105deg F and the runs with the cams where at 78deg F. This is without SAE correction factor so the correction factor on both of those runs in the 1.03-1.04 range. I'm just bringing this up as I've usually seen 15-20whp gain with many different brand of cams on a stock turbo's EVO.

Crower are one of the few cams I have not tested, so I might try to get my hands on a set for testing purposes. Again, not trying to discredit the results, just pointing out the difference in the test conditions.

Regards,

I noticed the same thing. Evo gains a lot of power at lower temperature. 105 vs 79 degree is not a good comparison. My car made 340 whp on winter cold morning(56F). VS 300WHP( over 100F) on hot summer day. Normally my car makes about 310~ 320WHP.

Yeah, and the two dyno pulls were over 6 weeks apart. It takes less than 2 hours to install cams, why not just do a baseline before you change them?

Again, given to me by a customer, not done in-house. I agree the temp. difference is suspect, but I have another customer who picked up 33whp at Turbo XS (this is w/ a GT35R though).

These are great cams that are priced amazingly well.

Martin - PM me if you want to try a set.

TTR has the magic dyno, I thought everyone knew that. Not to discredit crower cams or JSC speed, but TTR #s seem to be off more times than not.

Apparently, they were having trouble with the dyno and could not do a torque plot; it's not purposely omitted.

Once again, these were given to me by a customer, not done in-house.

PM for pricing on a great set of cams at a great price.
