The Tomei Expreme Exhaust Manifold for the 4G63 had passed the long term durability test & deliver better response & performance that show at low, mid and high RPM stages as with the other Expreme series. Tomei started by testing with the stock engine to know potential performance of the factory exhaust manifold & at the same time Tomei had prepared many custom handmade prototypes with had other leading brands at hand to compare all possible types & combinations. The end result of those tests helped give Tomei the required information to achieve the best performance possible. "Quick throttle response reaction from non-isometric short pipe", The feeling of power from mid range with 45mm pipes all the way up to high end zone", Also, "With the harmonic of the SUS304", The superior feeling & lasting impression to satisfy all your five senses for both the driver & passenger(s). Tomei used the lost wax manufacturing method for all their Exhaust Manifolds. The lost was manufacturing method process produces very stable quality. There are many benefits like minimizing cracking on the Exhaust Manifold under high stress conditions. Also making possible to design better curves in the pipes to improve the ease of installation. Made from 100% SUS304 stainless steel from the flange to the pipes. Superior in weight reduction & its high corrosion resistance properties. The kit comes complete ready to go with thermal heat bandage which helps with dissipating heat from the engine by is included. The new heat shield is also now included & it gives that added finishing touch. STEP 1: All parts manufactured with lost wax

Tomei's large investments in extensive research has given them the best results required to produce stable quality & absolute strength in the product. Minimal chance for cracking & ease of installation due to the lost wax manufacture even with it's complex shape design. There's no point having difficulty with installations that is common among other brands.

STEP 2: The EXPREME seal is the mark of Tomei's high performce steel material

The EXPREME logo plate. Tomei's symbol of high quality grade brand which was developed for high efficiency, durability and overall value for money quality for many.

STEP 3: Each flange is made with lost wax process


A. The engine side flange target was to minimizeany unwanted gaps where possible to help obtain a smoother exhaust air flow from exhaust port
B. With the turbine side flange Tomei adopted the flange that was made from with the SUS304 lost wax. Minimal restrictions from the curves on Tomeis exhaust even at high temperatures.

STEP 4: Second air sensor bolt for auto wagons is included (NONE USDM Model)

There is an extra blind bolt which is included as to be compatible with wagon and GTA models. (International Models)

STEP 5: Even lighter than before

When compared with the heavy, thin stock exhaust manifold. The EXPREME manifold overall weight reduction was also achieve by Tomei from their choice of materials & design.

STEP 6: The "EXPREME heat shield" is also avaliable




Tomei's heat shield is released at the same time which also can be used with stock exhaust manifold.

Tomei's new fuel rail for the 4G63 supplies certain & stable fueling that is one of the vital upgrades necessary when you start tuning any engines and that goes the same for the Lancer Evolution 8. Not to forget the upgrading of injectors either. When using larger capacity injectors it's pulsation of fuel pressure (in macro scales of 95cc) is vital for any increased power gains required & improved ECU settings. Tomei have produced high grade aluminum materials with the pushing out manufacturing method. So as a result, it's superior for non-corrosive and smooth inner walls. Even after long term use there is no change in its quality and performance.

Build and design:
With the internal size capacity of 95cc (compare to stock 75cc) of flow & smooth internal finish made of aluminum by the "push out manufacturing process" also with its superior non-corrosive properties. The basic layout has 2 points of intake from both sides & the outlet in the one central point. Others brands and makes has the inlet from one central point only. It is also possible to have 2 outlet points at both sides if required.

Manufacturing method:
The push out manufacturing method is a processing method that pressed the aluminum alloy at temperatures between heat of 400-500 degrees Celsius (752-932 Fahrenheit). Generally Tomei press a column ingot (billet) out of the hole that has various shapes with high pressure press machine & make a slim processing product (pressed materials). With this method it is possible to make a perfect hollow article that is generally difficult to produced with a product that has complicated cross-section with only one press method. It is also possible to make products of various shapes & dimensions with precision.
