do you need to lube them up prior to install? I heard of bushings seizing up for some reason.

Hi, Spiked,

No you don't. Since they're anodized aluminum, they are dissimilar materials compared to the pin on the shifting fork as well as the ring at the end of the shifting cable. This fact and the dimensioning add up so that seizing won't be a problem. Great question.

Well everyone, the install was a success. It is a pain to move through all of the innards of the car but it's quite managable. In the instructions it says removal of the battery and battery box is not required but I wuold have to say it is if you even want to get close to messing with the bushings. All I have to say is click-click-click...thats the sound of the sharp shifts the car makes after the install!
