If it works with the factory FMIC then it will work with our FMIC.

Powder coated? really? They aren't anodized? You would think that even a thin layer of powder coat would affect the heat transfer...

Anodizing can cause leaking.

In the pictures it looks like there is no bumper screen in front of the intercooler.
Does the screen needs to be removed for it to fit?

Received my intercooler but didn't come with a manual. Am I supposed to put both spacers included on the left and right FMIC mount points?

When I put a spacer one the left side of the intercooler - the stock lower intercooler pipe (the one coming from the turbo) doesn't line up properly (hence I don't have a spacer on the left side).

On the right side, if I don't put in the spacer, the stock upper intercooler pipe (one heading to the throttle body) doesn't line up correctly.

Is this correct?

Additionally, I had to slot the right mount a bit (with a dremel) to make it line up with the mounting bolts..

Looked at your website but there's no instructions for the FMIC either.

These are not shipped prices, our web site will quote you freight before you get to the enter credit card screen. The intercoolers come with EVERYTHING needed to install, including clamps and new couplers.
My IC came with a two red perrin couplers, the FMIC itself, two aluminum spacers, two bolts, and a large perrin template (I guess to be used if one wanted to paint Perrin on the FMIC) but no clamps. You sure it's supposed to come with new clamps?

The reason why we don't anodize is because as john said, it can cause leaks. The first process is an etch process where they get dipped in acid. While this is ok for the part in general, the possibility they get it all out is what scares them and us. It could lead to very thin places and cause leaks. Not to mention, cast aluminum and billet aluminum don't anodize the same colors. The powder only covers the front bar (not much heat transfer there) and it doens't get very far into the fins at all.

The EVO 9 intercoolers do not come with clamps you just use your OEM ones.
In the past we didn't include instructions as it was a very easy part to put on and we never get calls about it. But you are bringing up some new points we should address.

The boost tube does have to have the one bolt removed to allow it to sit more forward and meet with the intercooler. This has to be done because our core is bigger. You are correct in the 2 spacers go on each side. This in done to space it away from the power steering cooler mounted down at the bottom.

Thanks for the feedback, and you will see instructions very shortly!

Okay, i'll have to redo mine then because I didn't put in a spacer on the passenger side. It makes sense now, there are two bracket mount points for the lower intercooler pipe, removing one of them (the top one) will allow for free play and allow the coupler to move forward and line up with the fmic inlet.

Nice intercooler though, it would also be nice if you guys slotted (instead of just a hole) your mounting brackets horizontally a bit because I had to dremel mine in order to get the left / right mounting bolts to line up.
