I am interested in purchasing this intercooler, however I have a question. In the first post of this thread, picture 2 and picture 5 make this IC look very different (size wise). In picture 2 the IC clearly looks smaller than in picture 5. Please explain....

or also

this (small)

vs

this (large)

1st one is for a VIII and the 2nd is for the XI Wide tank. I THINK!
You can see the options on the ets web page. Same thickness just different width's.

Ahh, don't know how I missed that. However- the wide tank is specified as being for the evo 9 on the website, and in the pictures it's the evo 8 that is running the wide tank. Is that just a mess up? Thanks in advance to whoever!

Michael, could you please chime in on this. Please send me an e-mail (since I don't think my account on here supports PMs) for a 3.5" wide tank shipped to 07030. adl505@gmail.com is my addy- thanks.

Thanks for the order! The wide tank is designed for the 9 due to the front opening being 22" wide, we build a core that utilizes a 22" surface area. The over all dims are the same for both the 8/9 intercooler. The 8 has a much larger opening so we use a 24" core. The 22" core on the 9 allows us to build wider tanks for better air distribution.

thanks!

You shouldn't have any problem with the piping with stock bumper. The cold side fits perfect and the hot side will have a 3.0" bend with a telescoping 2.5" pipe to mate up to the turbo.

Thanks!

We just received our HUGE order of core! We have over 600 different sizes in stock ready for shipment! Looking for a core? complete intercooler? We have you covered! We can also build a custom setup to meet your needs, we just need a drawing/dims!

If you have any questions or need a quote, let me know!

Thanks,

Michael
