I'm still trying to figure out how a new downpipe helps... Forget the rest of the exhaust since that is not what is being sold here.

Talking horse power baby!

a performance downpipe will increase the diameter of the exhaust piping from the turbo to the cat allowing a higher volume of exhaust fumes to exit... creating more whp...

Just the RMR downpipe alone gave those gains at the wheels because I dynoed before and after this mod alone.

Vivid......why would I buy the RMR and i have to also have to order new cross bars to make it work when I can just order the Perring which says it works with all factory stuff? I am not sure which one to do....I want simple, easy, installation with as little modifying as possible....should I just order the Perrin?

Quoted from your website:

The brand new Perrin downpipe for your Mitsubishi EVO VIII is now available. 3 inch stainless steel with 1/2 inch thick flanges. The turbo flange uses a donut gasket fit for best fitment. Includes factory hanger mounts and can be used with the stock cross bar or aftermarket ones. Downpipes are designed to give the car about 10 HP in the higher RPM while keeping the turbo spooled through the gears.

Talking perrin

with the rmr you will need to replace the lower brace, but the perrin will bolt right in with no other modifications...

I have the Helix on order. I would get either the Helix or the Perrin. I chose Helix because it was less $. Both in my eyes are great dp. The Helix is worth the money more since it is less and the same quality. There is a long link about the Helix dp started by another vendor here.
