I really like this deal, but I'm not sure if I want to use this catback (with Buschur's 2.5" downpipe and the stock cat) or just go with their 3" system utilizing their high flow cat. I would prefer to keep the stock cat, if the power differences between the two systems (with supporting mods encompassing other items similar to Buschur's Stages 1 and 2) are not huge. I may be moving to Califiornia or Virginia in the near future and would like to avoid the hassle with police as well as a potential CEL.

Well luckily Mr Buschur was planning ahead when he designed this system. It is flanged and reduced to fit the stock cat but it has the ability to upgrade to a full 3" system with a high flow cat or race pipe by simply cutting off the flange (this is easily accomplished with a hach saw)

At this price it would be a good choice to go with this system now and later get the 3" DP and High flow cat if you would like.

Just remember if you switch to 3" you must specify that you have a scca version currently as the cat or race pipe (whichever you choose) will be slightly longer to accomodate the conversion.

If you have any questions regarding this e-mail me at EVO Connection

What is the clamp needed for if Dave is welding the flange fitting on?

I'm concerned about upgradeability. Isn't the 3" system all slip fit joints? How would I upgrade to a high flow cat or a 2.5 or 3" DP with the flange welded on? The pics on the Buschur site look like the regular catback and the SCCA version is the same except for the flange... Is that correct?

I really want in on this. Just alleviate my upgrade worries.

The system is completely upgradeable. I've heard David and vendors mention numerous times that all that needs to be done is have the flange/reducer cut off, and order the downpipe/cat/cat-delete mentioning you had a SCCA version. They will then ship the cat/cat-delete a little bit longer to compensate for the ammount that was removed while "converting" the exhaust.
