This is the email that I got:

Our purchasing dept has made a terrable mistake in setting up these
clutches. What they listed as the "kit" was actually just a pressure plate.
Our cost on the kit is $450. For the people that have ordered we will sell
them at cost due to our mistake but we cannot honor the $349. We are very
sorry for ny inconvenience this has caused. Please let us know if you would
like one shipped at our cost.

Thank You
EVO Connection

It still will be a good deal if we could get an upgrade to atleast a 2600 pressure plate. and if that 450 includes shipping!

hint hint

Oh well, it sounded soooo good to be true. $450 isn't bad though but I have doubt that's what vendors pay for it. Still, I don't think you can find it cheaper than that since it goes for about $525 at most places. But, ask for free shipping since they made the mistake.

Yes, we really screwed up! It doesnt happen often but it does happen. The only reason we caught it was that ACT sent us an e-mail bringing it to our attention that the price was too low.

Im really sorry about the inconvenience.

It's a good thing they contacted you. Or else, you be doing a car wash to make up the difference. Oh well, we all make mistakes. So how about $450 shipped for those that might be still interested.

Many manufacturers are very tough about what prices their products are sold at. Some claim that low prices "cheapen" the product and others do it to protect the retailer who pays a higher price for the product and cannot compete with the "big boys".
We run some super deals on occasion and yes we get calls from angry manufacturers because one of their dealers called in about it, but if it gets that bad, we drop the product line and they lose...

I talked to Dirk today and he said some crazy vendor was selling kits below cost!! Well, some people out there got some killer deals! He was actually very cool about it and thought it was pretty funny.

I still walked away with a good deal IMHO 450 for this clutch is not bad. In addition I was able to contact LEN @Evoconnection regarding this matter and he clarified there was a mistake on the website. That setup (streetdisc/heavyduty pressure plate) will hold 497 ftlbs. That is more than enough for what I need. Im only gunna be running at most 400 whp and my torque should not exceed what the capacity of this setup will be.

Anyway Evo connection still gave me a good deal and I would highly recommend them!!!!

haha. take advantage man, take advantage. Prostreet Online is the best with matching prices. So whatever great deal you find advertised, please call them and tell them, they will match price with free shipping. Only reason i paid for shipping in the ACT is cause it came under thier invoice price, but still 390 for a ACT kit. Cant beat it.
