Please tell me what the differene is between the intake and the suction kit. Is the intake the same pieces as the RS minus the turbo inlet? I'm curious if I could just buy the intake now and get the suction pipe later if it would be the same thing in the end.

Thanks......bump

They are different
The inlet pipe on the RS kit is funnel type, with bigger diameter at the filter ( 100mm), tapering down to the inlet size of the turbo. That is why it is called Racing Suction intake.
The regular HKS inlet pipe is just a normal pipe, same diameter on both ends. Polished aluminum with silicone connectors. It helps a lot comapared to the factory rubber wrinkled pipe, but cannot compare in sound and performance to the Racing Suction.

Yes, it consists of the MAF adapter, and the green element.

Hi Gonzalo,

we have not dyno tested the intake, but it is something like 10whp. It makes HUGE difference. We have done ALL intakes, and the RS kit is sofar the BEST.

So it is being found that air intakes are actually bringing power to the Evo instead of hurting it? I keep reading that the air flow sensor or something is messing up and actually hurting performance. Is there any sort of loss with either of these intake systems since you actually did dyno test it? Thanks.

The free flowing intake will be the best for a turbo car. Actually the best would be just a funnel intake pipe, like the HKS air suction funnel. That is what ALL race GTRs run in Japan. But you cannot ron the street everyday with no filter. So the Racing Suction was developed with the same design in mind as the RAce air funnels. And they added the HKS mushroom filter to it for protection.
